The AIFA represent the collective view of their IFA membership to the FSA and those policy makers who have an impact on the IFA market place and the business operation of IFAs.
There is a clear need for IFAs to speak with one strong voice to the FSA, FOS and the FSCS. Their role is to bring about this united front. They endeavour to influence the opinions of decision makers, not always with the success anticipated, to direct policy towards a light-touch regulatory structure, and are sought out to provide their knowledge and expertise to better understand and define practical policy.
Panacea will provide intelligence and feedback to the AIFA wherever appropriate to help improve the regulatory position of IFAs.
