At PanaceaIFA we regularly hear positive stories about the great but unrewarded work that many within our industry do for the benefit of others. There are a number of examples of IFAs, support staff and indeed provider firm staff going above and beyond the expected to help their industry and their colleagues.
In order to raise awareness of all this good work, PanaceaIFA has teamed up with Professional Adviser magazine to recognise these unsung heroes.
Throughout 2012 we will be searching for IFAs, paraplanners and back office support staff that go above and beyond the call of duty in their professional life.
Every month Derek Bradley, CEO of PanaceaIFA, will choose the most deserving nomination from those submitted and the winner will receive £160 towards a Michelin-starred restaurant of their choice, and Professional Adviser will publish a half-page profile within their magazine, highlighting the good they have done.

Terms & Conditions
By nominating a PanaceaIFA Unsung Hero (“the competition”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Entrants must go online to www.panaceaifa.com to nominate their PanaceaIFA Unsung Hero. Online entry will open at 09:00 on 3rd January 2012 and close at 17:00 on 30th November 2012. Nominations received after this date will not be taken into account.
Nominations will be judged by Derek Bradley, CEO, PanaceaIFA on a monthly basis.
In order to be eligible, nominees must be a Financial Adviser, Paraplanner or work as back office support staff within a UK-based IFA firm and must be a resident of the UK.
All nominees must be aged 16 years or over.
Nominations must not contain any offensive material or comments or infringe any personal or intellectual property rights or laws.
PanaceaIFA reserves the right to check the authenticity of any nominees and exclude them from the competition if found not to comply with the criteria outlined above. PanaceaIFA reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner if there are reasonable grounds to believe that a winner is not eligible.
Employees (or members of the families or households) of PanaceaIFA or any agency involved in the competition are not eligible to be nominated but they may nominate someone as long as the person meets the eligibility criteria and is not a member of their family, household or an employee.
The chosen nominees each month will win £160 payment toward a Michelin Star restaurant of their choice which will be paid directly to the restaurant specified and have their profile featured within Professional Adviser magazine.
Nominees chosen as Unsung Heroes will be contacted and their permission gained before they are featured within Professional Adviser magazine and must provide a photo of themselves for use in the publication.
Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. PanaceaIFA reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
Competition winners’ may be published on the PanaceaIFA website and mentioned in associated publicity, the entry provided and photographs may also be used in publicity.
Proof of emailing or posting the entry cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. PanaceaIFA cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any nominee or person nominating or as a result of accepting any prize. PanaceaIFA is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, server problem, delay, theft, destruction, modification of or unauthorised access to nominations, or nominations lost, damaged or delayed, technical issues, virus, bugs or other causes outside PanaceaIFA’s control.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the competition, the decision of PanaceaIFA shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
There is no purchase necessary to enter the competition.
The Competition and Rules will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England. The competition web page is only intended to be accessed from the United Kingdom.
The Competition is organised by PanaceaIFA. PanaceaIFA reserves the right to withdraw or amend the promotion, without notice, at any time. Any changes will be included in these terms and conditions.
